They’re threatening to axe the ABC, whatever will I watch

Another political screw-up, what next can they botch

How could they do such a thing, do they not have a brain

Just because you kill the messenger, it won’t remove the pain

The ABC pumps out good TV, things that entertain

If they take it off the air, what then will remain

The commercial channels treat us like fools, repeats of repeats

There isn’t much that I can see to keep me on my seat

I’d need another fifteen pages, to list all the good shows

That I have watched on the ABC, within this here prose

But I pray and hope I’ve read it wrong, and the ABC does stay

Because Play School is a show I watch, every rainy day
