March 13: Livin' in Awstraya ...

Wrote a poem ‘bout Awstraya, and I borrowed someone’s lines
But it isn’t really plagiarism, coz I made sure it rhymes
We got some killer wildlife, the deadliest spiders on this earth
Got ‘salties here like buses, that will drag you to the surf

We got sharks that take the biggest chunks, and fish with poison fins
And the wildest pigs that scare ya, right out of your pale skins
We got heat that cooks your eggs on toast, without fire of any kind
The best wine in the universe, and our Bundy sends ya blind

Steaks as thick as novels, and cheese that makes you cry
You've no idea the things we have out here to get us by
We have words with fifteen meanings, and one that is quite rude
Which should send you a message; don’t come here if you’re a prude

We have stubbies that you can wear or drink, and a state called Mexico
That’s south of this state’s border, but it ain’t too bad you know
We all live in Awstraya, it’s a good place for a stranger
But the saddest thing for me it is that we worship a bushranger
