“Please buy
something from my shop”, the invitations never stop, we’ve walked and walked
until we drop, today in Vietnam
“Mister please,
won’t you just look”, he tried to land me with a hook, clothes, shoes, maybe a
book, still here in Vietnam
Every shop seems
like the same, their wares and goods a numbers game, if I don’t buy it’s me
they blame, life's tough in Vietnam
We’ve had such a
terrific day, we walked around every which way, every shop the same display, all day
in Vietnam
We’ve seen so
many wonderful sights, the heated days, the coolish nights, the river's shore,
the morning's lights, here in Vietnam
Tomorrow is
another day, we’ll get up early, and make our way, to see another unique
display, on show in Vietnam
On Monday we will
leave this place, we’ll take a flight up into space, north to Hanoi we will
embrace, still here in Vietnam
The on a cruise
to Halong Bay, overnight and the next day, in a flash hotel, we will stay, right here
in Vietnam
Then home to
Sydney we will return, our holiday a past concern, another soon we both do
yearn, but not to Vietnam
